MH CET Law is the Maharashtra State Common Entrance Examination for law programmes, administered by the Maharashtra State CET Cell. It provides a professional path for law aspirants who wish to pursue a career in the competitive field of law. After passing the exam, students can enrol in either the 5-year integrated BA LLB or the 3-year LLB programme at government colleges. The test is 2 hours long, administered online, and consists of 150 multiple-choice questions.
For 5-year LLB: Pass in 12th/Senior Secondary from a recognized board with an overall score of at least 45% (40% for Maharashtra SC/ST candidates; 42% for VJNT, SBC and OBC candidates). Minimum age at admission is 20 years (22 years for Maharashtra OBC/SC/ST candidates).
For 3-year LLB: Candidates must have passed graduation in their chosen field, or be appearing for their qualifying exam in the exam year. General category candidates (within and outside Maharashtra) need a bachelor's degree with at least 45% marks; Maharashtra SC/ST candidates need at least 40%; VJNT, SBC and OBC candidates need at least 42%.
